Glass Solvent Filter

Glass solvent filters are used for solvent particle removal and water phase mobile phase filtration. All components of glass solvent filters in contact with solvents are made of chemically inert glass or PTFE materials, which are used in combination with regenerated cellulose (RC) filter membrane, especially suitable for removing particles and degassing filtration of mobile phase in chemical analysis such as HPLC, GC, and AA.

Improve detection efficiency: Stainless steel filter sterilization method can be used 121 ℃ wet heat sterilization 15 minutes, 180 ℃ dry heat sterilization 120 minutes, or with high-temperature cauterization to achieve the purpose of sterilization. The inner wall of the filter cup has a clear volume scale line, which is convenient for quantitative sample addition.

Made of durable material: The main accessories such as filter, filter connector, valve, filter holder, filter top cover and filter membrane support pad are made of 316 stainless steel, which are not easily damaged and has long service life.

Operation Steps of Vacuum Filtration Manifolds

 
1: Preparing the funnel

Before starting the filtration process, place the membrane into the funnel, making sure that the membrane is centred and covers the entire bottom of the funnel.

 
2: Connecting the tubing

Connect one end of the tubing to the vacuum pump and the other end to the side arm of the filter bottle. Make sure the tubing fits snugly to prevent any leakage.

 
3: Setting up the filter bottle

Place the filter bottle on the lab bench and secure it with clamps. Ensure the filter bottle is stable and will not tip over during filtration.

 
4: Wetting the filter membrane

Pour a small amount of solution to wet the filter membrane to help prevent air leakage.

 
5: Start the vacuum pump

Switch on the vacuum pump and adjust the pressure to the desired level.

 
6: Add the solution to be filtered

Slowly pour the solution to be filtered into the Büchner funnel, taking care not to let the solution overflow the funnel, and if the volume of the solution is too large, add it in batches.

 
7: Collecting the filtrate

As the liquid passes through the filter membrane, it collects in the flask. When filtration is complete, turn off the vacuum pump and disconnect the tubing.
